                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEYWAY
                   LOCATED SOUTHEAST FROM WOODWARD AVENUE, BETWEEN
                   BENNETT AVENUE AND EAST 12TH STREET, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED
                   APPLICATION.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned an alleyway located southeast from Woodward 
Avenue,
         between Bennett Avenue and East 12th Street, more particularly
         described as shown on plat attached hereto and made a part 
hereof
         by reference:
                A 10 foot wide unopened alleyway beginning on the
                southeast line of Woodward Avenue 120 feet
                southwest of the intersection of the southeast line
                of Woodward Avenue with the southwest line of
                Bennett Avenue, and extending southeast 157.5 feet
                between parallel lines to the centerline of a 15
                foot wide alleyway abandoned by Ordinance No. 7117. 
                Said alleyway separates lots 1-3 from lots 4-6,
                Blanton & White Subdivision, as shown by plat of
                record in deed book A, volume 4, page 689, R.O.H.C. 
                Tax Map No. 156C-H-1-3 and 18-20.
               
              	   SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance 

         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
